just a thort about technical limitations. i no from experience of hosting uni ladder league events, that my union (brunel) werent keen on the idea of having other uni teams playing on our sports ground for free, i no it sounds stupid but its true they were trying to charge us! And if non uni teams enter ladder league then this could mean that they are even more funny about who plays on our grounds. including insurance, security etc! I no many teams have local parks that matches can be held on but uni grounds are by far the easiest for us, and our union would be funny about allowing non-uni players access to grounds and use of the facilities without paying for them!
On the other hand with ultimate frisbee now a recognised 'BUSA' sport, this would be a time to push the fact there are loads of universities playing our sport frequently against other universities outside of main tournements.
more thorts everyone!
