I agree that there may be too much pressure on uni teams to play both weekends and weekdays but surely the only way to find out who is hardcore enough to take on the challenge is give it a try? I mean most uni teams have practices at the weekend anyway and get a decent number of people turn up it would make no difference to me to have a ladder league event against an open team on say a Saturday rather than a practice, I mean the only way to get better really is play in proper games against people who are better than you...
I'm not sure whether I'm just talking for myself here but I would be more than happy to be playing two proper games of ultimate a week if needs be one Wednesday afternoon one Saturday...

For what it's worth I agree with Shim. I don't think there would be much of an uptake from open teams to play in ladder league with the well established LWL...
Just my two cents... as a UCL player who perhaps play more open ultimate than most Uni teams, it doesn't make much sense to me to allow open teams to play in...
