Hey everybody,
It's good to see we've gained a few members in the last couple of
weeks, hopefully this means all this years' club contacts are signed
up - make sure whoever's succeeding you is in the loop already,
before term starts.
The new season of the Ladder League is just around the corner, as
September is but a few days away. I'll be concluding the polls
tomorrow (remember everyone on this list has a vote -
http://sports.groups.yahoo.com/group/seuniultimate/polls ), so if
you've not had your say yet then don't miss your chance! Hopefully
there will be no complications and we can start the 2005-2006 season
on Thursday 1st September. The new website (don't expect anything
revolutionary) has been upped to
http://www.seultimate.org/uni/league/ , check out the seedings if you
want to build yourself up before the start of games.
You will have all seen Gemma's email, make sure you remember to give
her some number estimates by 1st October so another hugely successful
women's skills day can happen on the 15th. It's going to be a good
year for women's ultimate. I'm planning on helping coordinate
universities which can't field a full women's indoors team to team up
with other, similarly female-challenged teams, so every active female
player in the region has a team to play for at women's indoor
regionals. It looks like the Ladder League will be a 5/2 recommended
split too, so better accomodate for the ladies at your freshers fair
this year...
As always keep those regionals / div2 indoor nationals bids coming
in...

ps. there's a report from GB Junior Women at Europeans in Sweden up
at http://www.seultimate.org/womens/SE%20Ultimate%20article.doc -
remember if your new recruits don't turn 20 in 2006 then they can
play Junior ultimate for over a year...
