Jon,
My name is David; I am a staff instructor at Sempai Martial Arts Academy. We
are located on Route 15 south, across from Pathmark; it is adjacent to the
Dunkin Donuts parking lot.
What brought you to email us? Are you looking for a martial arts program? Have
you studied previously?
Thank you for your inquiry.
Sincerely,
David

I chose Isshinryu after a couple of years in Aikido. Although I still
practice my Aikido, I found Isshinryu much more applicable in a
shorter time to the street. I also enjoyed the contact kumite without
points which I again found more applicable to the street. What has
kept me going is that there is just so much to learn and practice.
Everytime I look, there is something else in the kata. And if you
read some of the history and look at some of the origins, there is
more to do. I truly believe that there is enough here for a lifetime.
Lou
It has been quite a while since anyone has posted to this group.
However, it's high-time we begin again.
Members:
What made you join Isshinryu? Since you joined, what has kept you
studying Isshinryu?
For those who have participated in either or both of these
Associations' competitions, could you give some feedback on them: AAU
and USNKF. What are some of the benefits of each of them, and/or
what are some of the problem areas? Osu.
Though this is still a relatively new club, it is
beginning to grow. Members from both inside and outside our
academy are beginning to catch on to it. So, here's a
question: In the future, should Isshinryu continue as a
Martial Art, or move categories to a Martial Sport?
Hi.. my name is Mike and im in BC canada, just outside Vancouver. Isshin Ryu is
alive and well on the west coast here. hope to see some good posts and some good
discussion.

Dragon
Absolutely, let's increase the number of club members so we can begin to have
interactive Isshinryu (or other martial arts) discussions. Also, we're glad to
have you aboard ptfigher!
This is the future home for Sempai Martial Arts Academy, New Jersey and/or any
other Isshinryu karate-ka who is interested in keeping up with the latest on
Isshinryu in all aspects!
