www.wtatour.com: "The Frenchwoman, who hits with two hands off both
sides, asserted herself early, powering through the first four games
of the match as well as the first three games of the second set,
eventually clinching the match after one hour, six minutes on a
Klösel double fault."

Laine served for the match at 5-3 in the third, and had two match-
points in that game. Marion served for the match at 6-5, and hit an
ace on /her/ match-point.

Marion produced some "scintillating groundstrokes" according to
Teletext. :-)

6-4 1-0 retired (dizziness)

Oh well - at least this is Marion's first retirement since June, so
they're becoming less frequent! ;-) She retired or gave walkovers
eight times between Birmingham 2004 and Eastbourne 2005 with a
variety of injuries.

Arvidsson: "I played well. I made her run. My services were good,
and I was more aggressive."

Marion has reached six WTA semi-finals in her singles-career, and
lost them all.
