I saw this match on BBC television.
I was impressed with Nakamura from the start, and for the first
couple of games I thought she was going to defeat Myskina
comfortably, given Myskina's slump this year. Nakamura has good
power on her serve and groundstrokes, and is a much more
entertaining player IMO than the other Japanese Selesian, Akiko
Morigami.
But Myskina played much better than her recent results had led me to
expect, and by the end of the first set, it was she who was
outhitting Nakamura.
