I'm sorry to hear that Myskina's mother is seriously ill, and
without knowing the prognosis, I pray for a full recovery. But I'm
happy for my favourite Selesian player that it was she who took the
scalp of the defending champion, even though it should come as no
surprise to anyone who is aware of Myskina's recent poor form and
shoulder-injury.

Sánchez Lorenzo: "Obviously she's not playing as well as last year.
But people told me about her personal problems. It's not about her
game. I think it's about her mind. I feel so sorry for her. I don't
think I had to make a great show of my victory. I hope she will
recover soon. I know she will be top ten again very soon."

Myskina: "She played normal tennis. I can't say she did something
really special to beat me today. A lot of unforced errors from my
side, not good serve. That's why I lose."
