I have updated the Photos section with a couple from Indian Wells:
* Women > María Sánchez Lorenzo (+1)
* Men > Jan-Michael Gambill (+1)
The photo of Gambill is an interesting one because it looks like
he's hitting a two-handed forehand - until you realise that his left
hand isn't actually gripping the racket!
Marion Bartoli continues to struggle; her litany of injuries
stretching back to last June is as follows:
1. Birmingham 2004: Fell and injured her hip, and had to be
immobilised, sedated and taken to hospital.
2. Cincinnati 2004: Retired with a blister on her right hand.
3. Forest Hills 2004: Ditto.
4. US Open 2004: Struggled with a painful leg-injury.
5. Bali 2004: Retired with heat-illness.
6. Auckland 2005: Struggled with a painful shoulder-injury.
7. Canberra 2005: Retired with a hamstring-injury.
8. Pattaya City 2005: Her abdominal pains were so severe that she
had to leave the court in a wheelchair.
9. Dubai 2005: Retired with left-kneecap tendinitis.
It's amazing how well Marion is doing in spite of all these,
although she suffered a dispapsinating 6-0 6-1 loss to Jessica
Kirkland in her opening match at Indian Wells.
Why does Maid Marion have so many different injuries? :-(
The only news about MONICA at the moment is a rumour that she might
play Strasbourg (week of 16th May 2005).
