Since I started this club about 9 months ago this club has grown!  It
has been awhile since I last posted on here because I have been
working on different projects and school has been crazy.  I'm glad
that everyone here is still posting on this fan club.  In the summer
time I should should have a new Sean Townsend page. I wrote sean a
while ago and I got a letter back from him in December. I thought it
was awesome.  Sometime this summer I want to visit the Houston
Gymnastics Academy and wish Sean, Jason, and Todd luck. I met Jason
and Todd last December at the Reese's Cup.  Well, I'll try to visit
here more often.  BTW, if you want to know my new URL for my sites it

This is more of a reply to all, but since Bec was the one the
directly "talked" to me, then this is more to her. But yeah. Sure,
Sean is still my hero. I have a picture of me and him at the San Jose
Arena when I watched the Tour of World Gymnastics last Fall. I got
his autograph also. It's great to have a picture and an autograph of
your (my) hero because not a lot of people do that. I also want to be
a good gymnast like him, but I don't think it's gonna get there. I'm
gonna try to be the best I can, but I know I can cancel out the
Olympic Level. And yeah, you're right about Sean being human and
people making decisions. It's just that I hope that he doesn't do the
same thing again. It really broke my heart when I first heard about
it. I was shocked! I was really speechless. The first words that came
out of my head was "Yeah right! That's bullshit!" But it turns out to
be true, and I couldn't believe it.
But yeah, like you Bec, I'm gonna wait til he says his side of the
story. I really hope that he doesn't do this again. I want to see him
go high and take that World All Around or Olympic All Around Title.
I know drugs ain't the key to doing that. So, I want to see him
strive to great at what he does. I want to see him take the All
Around Title at WOrlds 2003 in Anahiem because I will be there...

I know what u mean Josh. When i read about it i was like. "what's
going on?!" I hold a high opinion of Sean and to hear this was really
hard.
I can totally understand that some people hold him as a hero...the
way I see it is that Sean is human just like the rest of us and we
all do things for different reasons- we all make our own choices in
life. I have to say that I did feel hurt, i mean i'm a huge
fan/supporter of his and well to hear this... was really an eye
opener. I hope that Sean remains your hero- after all no one can grow
stronger, be braver or hold life higher if we don't learn from our
mistakes and the decisions we make ....

so i'm going to wait to hear what he says about this, listen to his
side of the story--adversity will bring out peoples true form. And if
Sean is the man i think he is... he'll come out fine. So 4 know i'm
gonna keep on cheerin for him as i watch him compete and i hope u do
as well.

I just read a story at intlgymnast.com that said
that Sean, Brett, and Gason tested positive for
marajuana use during a competition and received "severe
warnings" or something like that. That is so inconceivable
to me, have you guys seen it? Does anyone know

Sean is short. Towards your questions. Yes he
does have a girlfriend they have been together for a
long time a few years if I am right. A friend told me
that they are living together now. I can see what else
my friend knows if you want? But he does have one,
