U8 had a good day of fun. We played three close enough games plus
a fourth that we were victorious in. Touc ran in some splendid length of field
tries and was ably supported by the sweet style of Allie and the persistent
efforts of Gregor and Sean.
Many thanks to Neil for coaching the U8 team today, he had a
double celebration also with his wife’s half marathon success this
morning, they are out painting the town I believe!
Thanks again to everyone involved in the Silicon Valley club. Special
thanks to Norm and Bob, thanks to the kids for the wonderful participation, the
parents for the patience, and thank you fellow coaches!
Looking forward to next season..
Best regards,
Steve

Subject: [seahawkyouth] update
To all:
We did really well today. Not sure now the U-8's went but the U-10's came in
second to Danville who were easily the best side there.
The best game was the first one when we beat LaMorinda on a last second try by
Ben Lewis who took the ball from a lineout and darted down the field to score
just as the referee blew his whistle for full time.
The Seahawk fans were jumping up and down with joy while the LaMorinda fans
were fuming with anger. At the end of that game, LaMorinda tried to
convince the ref to award them the game by telling him that he had made a
mistake with the score. They then issued an official protest claiming we had
used an ineligible player. The only problem was their protest was to themselves
since they were organizing the event.
Danville were a little rough in the way they played but were clearly the best
U-10 team on the day.
Thanks to everyone for turning up. We fielded two U-10 teams and one U-8.
Chris
