To all:
We did really well today. Not sure now the U-8's went but the U-10's came in second to Danville who were easily the best side there.
The best game was the first one when we beat LaMorinda on a last second try by Ben Lewis who took the ball from a lineout and darted down the field to score just as the referee blew his whistle for full time.
The Seahawk fans were jumping up and down with joy while the LaMorinda fans were fuming with anger. At the end of that game, LaMorinda tried to convince the ref to award them the game by telling him that he had made a mistake with the score. They then issued an official protest claiming we had used an ineligible player. The only problem was their protest was to themselves since they were organizing the event.
Danville were a little rough in the way they played but were clearly the best U-10 team on the day.
Thanks to everyone for turning up. We fielded two U-10 teams and one U-8.
