Well, after viewing the performance of the Hawks
the last 3 pregames, it occurs to me that "Hass" will
pretty much be our Starting QB. And lets face it, so
far, He has proven Homgren right for making such a
decision. But, I don't understand what the problem is in
the second string decision?

Isn't it as
clear to everyone else as it is to me that Houard (Or
how ever he spells his name) is not what we need in a
second. However, the superbowl winner, Dilfer, has proven
his worth even though we don't pay what he could have
earned. It made me think when during the last two
preseason games, when Matt left the field, Hawks were
ahead. Then Houard, blew the lead. How many times does
this have to happen? I mean, c'mon. Arizona? Dilfer
would NOT have let that happen. As he showed in SF
yesterday. Granted, the 9er defense sucked yesterday, but
even so, Hass looked great and so did Trent.

Brock has one more chance to prove himself next
saturday but hes now gotta do more than make a few great
plays. He's gotta be All Star caliber. I dont have that
much faith in him. So the choice is simple. Trent is
the choice. And he could be competition for
Hasslebeck in the future for starter. Course, if Matt keeps
up the great perfomances he continues to turn in,
that shouldnt happen either.
