On behalf of Alec Wurth and Chris Caufield:
Dear Ruggers
This past Saturday a fellow rugger, Alec "Bunk" Wurth, on the field broke
his neck. I was playing in this game and have played with him and against
him for years. Alec is by far one of the most stand up guys I have meet on
a rugby field, and he also is a man of God. Alec will be going into surgery
today after which even with the best case out come, he will have a long
hard and costly recovery.
So I am sending this email out for two reasons:
1. Please put Bunk in your prayers;
2. In hopes that we all can dig in our pockets to help one of our own out in
his time of need.
Maybe at practice or during this weekends matches, we can pass the hat
around and all give a little so we can give him a helping hand. We could
collect all the monies via the SCRFU Executive Committee and send/hand
deliver a check to him.
I greatly appreciate anything and everything any of you can do to help Bunk!
