I can see where you're coming from, but it is a bit harsh. His real
ERA was 3.87 and his xERA was 4.32, not the greatest differential in
the world.
With 15 HR and 44 BB allowed in 165 IP his HR-rate and control are
much better than an average starter. His weakness is a low k-rate.
He strikes me as a reasonable bet to have an 2008 ERA between 4.20 and
4.40. Whether this makes him a keeper or not depends on each
individual team.
