## Re: Metric vs. Imperial/U.S. (was: Greys)
As people go, I'm pretty comfortable with stats, right? I've had
quite a bit of success with this stat oriented game. As a kid, I used
to figure out batting averages, slugging percentages, and ERAs for
fun. As a university student, I got an A+ in statistics, and my major
was economics. I even named one of my two Scoresheet teams (the one
with Upton) Hot Stat Rats.
Yet, when I bought my first car since moving to Canada, I just gave
up trying to figure how well it did in gas "mileage". First, there
are U.S. gallons and Imperial gallons. I could never remember which
one was slightly more than 4 litres and which one was less. Then,
Canadians measure their gas efficiency in litres per kilometer (or is
it kilometre?) not as a distance (miles) per volume (gallon) as I was
used to. Hence, even if I found a conversion constant, I would have
to find the inverse of one part of the equation.
