I know we're low on the radar to the S. California racing scene,
though I can't help but mention our upcoming Desert Rage San Diego
which we scheduled for October 15th, 6 months ago.
It'll take good teams 4-6 hours to complete, many teams will approach
10-11 hours. It's also relatively inexpensive compared to some other
races and it's just 45 minutes west of SD so you can save an awful lot
on gas and lodging!! It'll take place at Morena lake, which hasn't
been beat up too bad from previous AR's, and for many of you it will
be an entirely new experience. You'll see a couple roads, mostly dirt
jeep roads, some smaller trails, good paddling and some excellent
trekking. All of this, and it's pure navigation using a map and
compass. You won't even know the course until after the gun goes off
as we believe plotting coordinates and navigation should be part of
the race.
We throw in some mystery events to make it fun too.
Please check out the many race reviews we've recieved at
Adventure-Race-Reports.com.
Some of you have been out to our races in Arizona, and we had a large
number of teams come out for our all women's race last November. This
year it seemed like their were very few races in the SD area since the
end of the Adventure Classic series, and we thought we'd see if there
is a market for a 4-10 hour race.
Hope to see you on raceday!
And on November 5th, Check out Desert Rage Las Vegas!! We'll give
away a free entry to our 4 person coed winners from DRSD.
