On Fox Sports, they're commenting on how (I think they said Poppovich)
said "the worm will turn". I don't know if ANY of them know how the
phrase even came about.
Everybody remembers when Dennis Rodman was on the Chicago Bulls? Well,
his nickname was "The Worm". Whenever he played, he constantly changed
how the game was going.
Hence, Phil Jackson coined the phrase "the worm will turn"
I think Tim has every intention of finishing his career with the
Spurs, unless they do decide to trade him. Because Tim is a world
class player I bet he and Pop had a talk a long time ago about how
far he wanted to go with the team. Tim knows that the Spurs have done
ALOT for him, just as he has done for the team. Tim has NEVER won a
championship on his own. No one does (just look at Kobe). SO I think
Tim is a LOYAL team leader and will stay with his team through thick
and thin. Pop, and every other team member, knows that it's about
time they went through some restructuring. The Spurs have been a
contender for a long time and if you have any doubts about Pop's
ability to pick out raw talent and develop it then I ask where you
have been for his entire tenure with the Spurs. No matter what
happens I will support this team. I would not be surprised if they
scrape their way into the finals in the end. If they don't, then
there is always next year.

grew up, though he is still prone to huge mistakes. I do not see the
sense in allowing the whole NBA to beat the hell out of Timmie. He is
a great player who is the greatest player the Spurs have and will
ever have. Top 10 NBA all time. If they do keep him, he will suffer
the same fate as David. he will get pounded until he no longer can
take it. As far as I am concerned, that is a waste. He deserves
better. And so do we as fans.

Those teams are 100% healthy and are sturggling. They still have a

Don't you sound like a fair weather fan. The Spurs have had a great run for the last 10 seasons. Manu was hurt most of last year and had to have surgery. They all knew that coming in to the season. Parker has never missed significant time like he is now.
Look at it from a different perspective. George Hill will get the on court experience he needs to back up Parker. He has tons of talent, but is making the rookie mistakes we all should expect. Miami game JUST STARTED. The Spurs missed their first 3 shots - 2 blocked, 1 miss. They need some TALL players - not only Duncan.
Please read it or Tim will think you ignored this :(

I am still waiting for the Duncan-Oden match. Been waiting for over a year. Oden needs to get healthy and stay that way. Also, I really like what Mason has shown me. Hope he continues to get better aquainted with both offense and defense.

I know you guys are disappointed but the Blazers game was a terrific game all the way around. Even had we lost it still was a very positive game in so many regards. San Antonio is tough no matter who takes the floor. My team is missing its Center Missed him all last year as well yet we are managing to be competitive in every game. I think I got some good picks of the Spurs during the game I will post them after I get back from football today. GO BLAZERS!!!!!
ps there was alot of mutual respect shown on and off the court between the teams. I look forward to doing battle with you all again hopefully soon in the playoffs!

HA, ha, yeah, I was thinking the same. If the Spurs were in the East they wouldn't have a thing to worry about. With Ginobli at 100%, only LA and NO will have a chance to beat them. For now, Tony and Tim could use some help.
I actually think they looked pretty good the first two games all things considered. They are down 4 players and they don't have a center to speak of right now.
Phoenix, with their full roster, and Portland have nothing to be happy about.

I have started a NBA fantasy basketball league. It is absolutely free to join and should be alot of fun. I currently have the limit set at 12 but I can raise it up to 24 if we get that many people interested. If you would like to join please contact me off list at paulpkcc@... and put Basketball Fantasy Leage in the Subject line. I have done this for quite a few years and have alot of fun with it! Paul

Shaq is a fat ass could have been overrated lazy used to be who gets by with his so-called funny quips. The funny part is that he shoots less than 60% from the FT line. Now that's funny. He sucks, PHX sucks, and no matter what else happens, SA owns them and Shaq.

Well, Sports 620 KTAR had a mic at Suns practice Tuesday, so, naturally, The Big Outspoken did what he does best: talk. The money quote came when he was asked about the Suns' first-round loss to the Spurs in last year's playoffs. O'Neal said he didn't mind that "Hack-a- Shaq" strategy wasn't changed in the rules during the offseason, but that there is no need to do it when a team is up 10 points. Shaq, via FanHouse:
"When you're down, I can see using that as a strategy. But when you're up 10, 15 points, there's really no need for that. That's a coward move. And he knows that. I'll make 'em pay for that."
You hear that, Gregg Popovich? You're a coward! A coward hiding behind a beard!

Spurs in last year's playoffs. O'Neal said he didn't mind that "Hack-a-
Shaq" strategy wasn't changed in the rules during the offseason, but
that there is no need to do it when a team is up 10 points. Shaq, via
FanHouse:
"When you're down, I can see using that as a strategy. But when you're
up 10, 15 points, there's really no need for that. That's a coward
move. And he knows that. I'll make 'em pay for that."
You hear that, Gregg Popovich? You're a coward! A coward hiding behind
a beard!
All this was straight from Shaq's mouth
Manu finally had his arthroscopic surgery to repair a ligament injury
in his left ankle. It is said he is going to wear a splint for three
weeks and then re-evaluated after then.
Even though Ginobili is our final piece for another run for a title he
truly needs to be 100% and we have plenty of time until then and even
if he doesn't play in the beginning of the season maybe some rookies
can step up and prove we don't need as many veterans than we think...
Wow, truely sad. I always liked the way he played. Good Portland teams.

Its just been reported that Kevin Duckworth Former Center of the Blazers from the 90s title runs passed away last night while putting on a basketball camp at the Oregon Coast. No other details were immediately available. May he rest in peace.

Think of it this way, the only team left besides us that has been all the way is Detroit. The Spurs know hoe to win and they showed it tonight.
I have seen just about every Laker game this season and the Spurs do have a chance. Sure they have Kobe and Gasol, but their key to victory is Odom. Our key to victory is to exploit the poor pick and roll defense. Farmar is not a great defender and is struggling offensively which plays to Tony Parker's favor.
They are going to LA tonight, maybe they can have their team dinner at Eva's restaurant and Tony will pick up the tab.

yeah, Spurs once again keep an opponant under 100 pts. Great game by the team. Duncan is driving me nuts. but defensively a classic Spurs win.
