First and foremost let me just say Im very happy that the club has
come to life once again (although its the mixed emotions about Tony
Parker's extension that got its pulse up and running). Also, welcome
to our new members who joined over the summer. This club is actually
pretty fun - Lori (whose invisable most of the time) and I have been
running this place since about 1999 I guess. Fun stuff. Anyway,
just want to say welcome back to everyone and I look forward to
discussing our great victories, venting my frustration over poorly
officiated games, and just chatting with Spurs fans in general. I'll
be at the home opener on Wednesday, so Im very excited about that.
The Spurs say they have some special opening night performance that
has never before been done in an NBA arena. We'll see about that.
They also claim to have a multi-platinum selling R&B artist to
perform the national anthem, although they're keeping it very hush
hush. Well since I have some close friends that work for the Spurs
who have informed me who, I'll spoil the suprise and let you all know
that its Boyz II Men, who yes, are still around (although its only 3
of them now instead of 4). Anyway, this should be our season to once
again reclaim our crown if injuries dont jack us up too bad. So,
cheers to another great season of San Antonio Spurs basketball!!
