Dear Spursfans,

Guess I am alone in lobbying for Deke. I thought he was a bargain
for the exception or at least part of the $4.5 million. He did have
some success against Shaq during the Laker-Philly NBA Finals. I
think he is a good man just like DRob. He is a big contributor for
charitable causes in Africa. He almost became a physician too coming
to the US on an academic college scholarship.

I don't get it how he came to be so demanding in terms of playing
time. Willis is good but he is a year older but was a good
replacement for the departure of Mark Bryant who played well for the
Spurs (hey what happened to this guy?). Rasho at best would be a
good complement to TD's game. I anticipate that these guys would be
playing the high-low like DRob did (and probably with more success).
The rap on Rasho is his defence. RC Buford thinks Rasho can have a
breakthrough year this season. I agree. If he does not get injured,
he will more scoring opportunities and hopefully more boards to go
with that. But he wont be a defensive anchor like DRob.

I felt we should have made an effort to get Jermaine O'Neal. We
might have been successful compared to trying to pry Kidd from Jersey.

The spurs did get deeper and if things do not work out with Hedo and
Ron Mercer, we have another 12 million to wave at a free agent.
Could be the right price for KG (he does want to have a ring too)
