NorthWest Student Exchange (NWSE) is a nonprofit exchange student program. Thomas from Germany has applied for the 2007/08 high school program and we currently are looking for a volunteer host family. Thomas who will be 17 is a member of a fencing team and does different types of martial arts, gymnastics, and other sports every weeknight. He would be interested in pursuing similar sports in the U.S. Thomas is committed to a healthy lifestyle and considers sports and his volunteering with the children’s group at church a good balance to his other activities. Thomas’s other interests include swimming, jogging, volleyball, photography, and computer programming. He is a goal-oriented, responsible, and independent young man who is well-liked by his peers and teachers. Thomas’s native languages are German and Portuguese. He speaks very good English and has studied the language for 9 years. Thomas earns very good grades and has also studied French (3 years). His favorite subjects at school include English, Chemistry, Geography, and Economics.
