Re: [[sanjose-mls] movie about No. Korea in World Cup 66]

It's interesting that the movie currently in
pre-production, telling the story of the 1950 US World
Cup team is called "Game of Their Lives." See story at
link below regarding our "favorite" former Clash-er
;-)

When he is not in front of the camera this summer, he
will be behind it helping the directors and producers
of the soccer movie based on Geoffrey Douglas’ novel,
Game of Their Lives. The book tells the story of the
1950 U.S. World Cup team, which was comprised of
working-class immigrants and semi-professional players
sent to Brazil to compete against the best. The team
defeated England 1-0 in the biggest upset in soccer
history.

While Wynalda will not appear on screen, his role as
technical advisor means he will be responsible for
making sure all the soccer action in the movie is
authentic. He is working with writers David Anspaugh
and Angelo Pizzo who produced other inspirational
classic sports movies like Rudy and Hoosiers.
