Emanuel was terrific, he had the best skate of the night next to Yagudin.
He's changed his hairstyle yet again, no blonde highlights but now has
stripes shaved into the sides of his head (yikes!). Same costume as GWG.
Program delivered with flair and conviction, terrific quad-triple (only
skater other than Yagudin to land it). Great triple axel too, had fun with
the audience once all the tough elements were done. Way to go!!! The crowd
really got into it, and he throws in some funky dancing moves at the end
of his program :-)

Yagudin's program was a treat as well. Engaging choreography, and awesome
straight line footwork sequence as well.

As for the rest of the men -- Elvis had good energy but fell on his quad
attempt, Eldredge did try the quad combination but touched down, and the
rest of the field were pretty unremarkable (no "splatfest" though).

Looking forward to Saturday and hoping that Emanuel can continue the
momentum; his long program, if he skates it as well as he did the SP, will
ensure him a place on the podium.
