Re: [sandhu] Reminder from FSW

Thanks for getting some discussions going everyone!! This is kind of an
experimental list, and as listowner I'm terribly sorry not to have
initiated anything lately, but what with work, holidays, life in general
etc ... anyway, this is a pretty quiet little group, but there's more
traffic around this time of year (Canadians, 4CC, Worlds) which is great.
Anyway ...

Agreed. I wish there was a way to magically implant Elvis's nerves of
competitive steel into Emanuel's head. Having said that, though, his
nerves have been better this season. He could have gone to pieces after
that dreadful fall on the quad during his LP at Skate America, but he hung
on and impressed people despite his mistakes. Same with Sparkessen and
the incident with the tinsel or whatever it was on the ice ...

It doesn't bother me either (in fact I personally love his more Oksana
Baiul-esque moments!), I think he wears his emotions on his sleeve a lot
of the time which is why he perhaps skates with such feeling for theme and
music. I know the ice caressing, eye makeup etc. makes some people feel
uncomfortable, though ... different strokes for different folks. As for
haircut, he had sort of Gwendal Peizarat-ish long hair last season which I
kind of liked (but I'm a sucker for long hair on men anyway :-D)

And its nice to see him skating in a playful, extroverted manner (all of
his SP, and the really fast dancey section in his long ... sigh ... ).

Me too. I'll probably be eating Gravol like candy and peeking through my
fingers when he sets up for the quad ...

I think this is just a very quiet list, it doesn't mean that people aren't interested in Emmanuel and how he's doing. I think Emmanuel is possibly the most...
