Isn't it amazing that Emanuel won Skate Canada??? Such a great start for the
season for him!!!

Truthfully, I'm not amazed as I always knew that he had it in him. What made me
the happiest was hearing his TV interview in which he said that his strategy
includes winning Worlds and Olympics and that to do that he can't play it safe
by only trying triples in the SP. He's preparing to compete with the top ranked
skaters in the world who will all be trying quads.

What doesn't make me happy is that he's using a choreographic formula which has
him stalking his difficult jumps. That could be the difference between Gold and
otherwise in a close race with the top guys. Having said that, who knows how
Plushenko's doing and Joubert isn't looking that great either. Honda has
problems of his own and Jeff is a work in progress right now. I could go on but
you get the idea. As always, time will tell.

Hopefully he'll do just as well in Paris ...

He looked very focused and claimed that he's better trained at this point in the
season than ever before. I just hope that he's able to build and improve from
this point on.
