Well, Elvis retiring (again) doesn't surprise me - I never thought he
would compete again on an international level.

Speaking of competing - Emanuel participated in the Figure 8 Autumn Skate
and it appears as though it's "same old, same old". I swear he is the
only skater in the world who can pull a 3.9 in tech and a 5.7 in
presentation. Terrible marks for technical merit in the SP (he must have
missed every jump element). Better in the LP, although not nearly as good
as he could be.

Guess we'll have to wait for Skate Canada (where the rubber meets the
road).
