I watched again Emanuel's SP and LP from Skate Canada - trying to look at
them both very objectively (whatever!).

I still maintain that he's right up there with the likes of Yagudin (when
he's on). I'll say a prayer for him tonight.

Happy New Year to all of you guys too. Mine didn't start off very well.
On New Year's Eve I had to put down my beloved cat. He was about 15 years
old and starting to fail rapidly. I know I did the right thing, but
there's a pretty big hole in my life right now. It's amazing how such a
little creature can have such an impact. My daughter is already bugging
me about a little grey and white fluffy stray kitten who is hanging around
her boyfriend's house. Maybe, just maybe!!
