I agree, being in the middle of the pack seems to work better as far as
his nerves are concerned.

Yes, fingers crossed -- I'm currently involved in heavy rehearsals for a
community theatre production so don't have any spare time to get nervous
on his behalf :-D

Yes. It sounds like he has a terrific long program to match his short
program this season, and if he can perform and compete to the best of his
ability he's tough to match.
