i live in mexico, and here is impossible to get the Dr.'s waxes, so i
make my own. I simply mix common parafin with dust of graphite. I
just break two or three pencils and grind the graphite until it is
like talc, and mix it with aprox. 50 grams of parafin. its a
brazilian recipe, the best wax formula i have found. By the way, i've
been building sandboards since 3 years ago, always formica bottom,
and never had any speed problem. max speed i can get in my boards is
around 30-40 mph, and believe me, you feel like you are gonna die if
you fall.
