Fellow Sacramento Skaters,
I am forwarding the note below from David Miles. It show that San
Francisco and the Friday Night Skate will be getting some televison
coverage. It would be nice if Sacramento and the Monday Night Skate
could also get such publicity. Let's try to make this happen.
Note from David Miles:
Hi Skaters,
I just got back from the Venice Beach Skaters' Showcase and I must
tell you it was one of the best ever!!!!! I will post the pics and
video, but not until after I get back from Burning Man.
There will be a Japanese television crew doing a story about San
Francisco and the Friday Night Skate. They are based in New York
City and currently working on a series of one-hour travel documentary
that features interesting cities of the world every week. The show is
aired every week in Japan through NHK, the public television station
of Japan. Their previous projects in the U. S. took place in New
York, Seattle, Salt Lake City, New Orleans, and Miami.
For their next project they are going to feature San Francisco. They
would like to introduce Friday Night Skate as one of the interesting
activities in San Francisco. The crew is a party of 6 people
including a reporter. They would like to participate the event on
September 20th.
Before videoshooting, the director and the producer are coming to San
Francisco from September 6th to the 8th to see the locations. Come on
out and let's show them what the FNS is all about.
Keep Rollin',
D. Miles Jr.
