Will,
The final version of the new Summer 2009 Recreation Magazine from the City of
Sacramento should be out by this Thursday (5/7/2009). I don't know for sure,
but I expect it will contain this info, which I have copied from the rough
draft:
Beginning Inline Skating
Learn safe recreational incline skating. Learn how to wear pads, fall safely,
get up, duck walk, stride glide, assume the ready position, turn and use the
heel brake to stop. All participants must wear protective gear. For more info or
map call 447-8288 or visit www.sacramentoskating.com. Instructor has been
certified by the International Inline Skating Ass. and United Skate Schools
Group.
Instructor: Bernard Scoville
Fee: $25
Course# Location Times Dates Day Age
36254 Stanford Pk 10:30-12pm 5/16 Sa 4yrs+
36255 Stanford Pk 10:30-12pm 6/20 Sa 4yrs+
36260 Stanford Pk 10:30-12pm 7/18 Sa 4yrs+
36261 Stanford Pk 10:30-12pm 8/15 Sa 4yrs+
If the final booklet comes out like the rough draft, there will definately be a
May 16, 2009 Beginning Inline Skating Class.
Even if the May 16 Beginning Inline Skating class does not appear in the
booklet, I will still teach it; the City of Sacramento Recreation Department
expects me to teach a class from 10:30 a.m. to noon on May 16, 2009.
