Hi Rubina,
Sacramento has the Jedidah Smith Recreation Trail, a
30+ mile multi-use trail that stretches from downtown
Sacramento to Folsom. The asphalt surface is generally
very nice for skating. The main users are bicyclist,
joggers/runners and occasionally, skaters! The access
to the trail is variable if city streets are used. But
Sacramento has pretty good streets in most areas.
Check out www.sacramentoskating.com and go the "Monday
Night Skate" area. Bernie Scoville, has been skating
the Monday Night Skate and running this website for
over 14 years. It has some pictures and text that will
give a general overview of the conditions we encounter
on the Monday night skate and some of the areas close
to downtown Sacramento.
Good luck on your move. Feel free to send an email to
me at egskating@....
