Back by popular demand: The Philadelphia Freedom Skate: Friday, June 16th through Sunday, June 18th 2006.
Join us for three days of group skates, prizes, parties and fun in Philadelphia, USA for the tenth-annual 2006 Philly Freedom Skate. Imagine over 400 skaters, with a police escort, rolling through downtown streets and scenic suburban neighborhoods over bridges, up and down smooth hills and by the many historic places in Philadelphia! Event dates are from Friday, June 16th to Sunday June 18th, 2006. Less than three weeks away!
Register online for only $60 up through Thursday, June 1st and get a FREE Freedom Skate T-shirt! That’s $5 off the normal registration price, and you get a free shirt! After June 1st a T-shirt is not included and registration will be $65.
As with previous Freedom Skates, this year’s event will be held at the Sheraton University City in West Philadelphia, so there’ll be fantastic pool parties and plenty of fun and food at nearby of casual bars and restaurants. We’ve negotiated a special hotel rate of only $99 per night (not including taxes). These rooms are currently sold-out, but don’t let that stop you--we expect some to become available soon!
NOTE: If you are holding a room reservation and haven’t registered yet, please register now or cancel your reservation. Almost half the people holding rooms have not yet registered (and over 200 have already registered!). Please go to http://www.active.com/event_detail.cfm?event_id=1288470 to register online now!
The weekend’s event schedule, registration and hotel information, as well as photos from earlier events are available on our website at http://www.freedomskate.org/
Over two hundred skaters have signed up already which is an all-time record! Don’t wait until the last minute—you’ll miss out on the savings and T-shirt! Join in on the fun less than three weeks away.
Sincerely,
The Freedom Skate Committee
