We had a reporter from the Express News visit our ultimate game at McAllister Park yesterday. I would like to get a list of local ultimate games together so that it will run with the story. If you could give me the times that SAULT plays, and any other games around town, I would greatly appreciate it.

We did not do the hat/beer-in- hand thing at the earlier event. It was more focused on trying to expose the McA group to the game at a higher level than they were playing. I believe their game is only somewhat better than it was back then. Also, at the time, McA was dominated by a church young adult group; I'm not sure how well a typical ultimate bacchanal type of hat would have grafted.

Also, at that time, which group one played with was quite highly correlated with what skill level one had. So using this was a good proxy for the skill draft, and killed two birds with one stone by also guaranteeing the mixing of the groups.

We did not do the hat/beer-in-hand thing at the earlier event. It was more focused on trying to expose the McA group to the game at a higher level than they were playing. I believe their game is only somewhat better than it was back then. Also, at the time, McA was dominated by a church young adult group; I'm not sure how well a typical ultimate bacchanal type of hat would have grafted.

Also, at that time, which group one played with was quite highly correlated with what skill level one had. So using this was a good proxy for the skill draft, and killed two birds with one stone by also guaranteeing the mixing of the groups.
