Yep I think that is the same with mine. I don’t often have the need to tighten those bolts. I just carry a set of metric and standard allen wrenches.

Yeah, on my '97, the seat clamp uses metric bolts and
the seat struts use non-metric. That's the only spot, I think, so just
bring along the right allen wrench to go with the metric multi-tool.
