Then a multi-tool in both formats would be handy...and not add that much weight.

Be careful here. The Vanguard that I have and took delivery in 1996 takes both metric and standard sizes. When I asked Dick Ryan about this he stated some of the parts he could only get in standard sizes. I would have preferred all metric.

Yeah, on my '97, the seat clamp uses metric bolts and the seat struts use non-metric. That's the only spot, I think, so just bring along the right allen...

I believe that the tie-rod ends were not metric on the earlier Vanguards also....
