Dear Raritan Valley Road Runners Member,

It has been raining a lot.  Most of my running shoes are damp.  Here are some upcoming RVRR events that will keep your training from going under the weather!

  • Wednesday, January 4 - Wednesday Night Run, 6:30 PM, Highland Park High School.  We will begin our 2006 "Wednesday Night Grand Prix" attendance contest!  All you have to do is come and run.  Everyone gets a point per night.  If you go out to dinner you get another point.  At the end of every quarter, male and female winners will be determined by points accrued and prizes will be awarded!  At the end of the year, there will be grand prizes.  We will follow the competition via email, web site, and newsletter!  WOW!  Yes, this is going to be fun!  Here is how you get points: Showing up=1 point, Showing up and going out afterwards=2 points, Showing up and volunteering to watch the door=3 points, Showing up and bringing a new member over 35=4 points, Showing up and bringing a new member under 35=5 points.
  • Saturday, January 7 - Towpath Run, 9:00 AM, Grove 2, Johnson Park, Piscataway.  We have started the Saturday Mornings in January Attendance Contest that will result in breakfast on the club at Neubies, the New Brunswick restaurant at which many people eat following the Saturday morning towpath run.

  • Wednesday, January 11 - Wednesday Night Run, 6:30 PM, Highland Park High School.

  • Saturday, January 14 - Towpath Run, 9:00 AM, Grove 2, Johnson Park, Piscataway.

...and looking farther ahead....

See the web site for more information at http://rvrr.org!

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I still need some club members to start an ADVENTURE RUN COMMITTEE and a MEMBERSHIP COMMITTEE.  Any interested parties for either committees, please let me know via return email!

You received this email because you are a RVRR member or a member of the RVRR Yahoo! Group (this might cause you to get two emails).  If you do not want to receive future RVRR updates via email, please let me know by return email and I will remove you from the list.  Also, any questions or concerns about these events or RVRR in general, feel free to let me know at rvrr@....

Have fun and run a lot!

~Gene

If you want to be technical about it, you are also getting 9 T-shirts for those 9 entry fees, since most races do that (or a hat or a mug). So subtract the...
