Akhil,
Sorry we didn't run across you, man. We left probably at like 8:40
or so from the tennis center. I didn't get to my email until just
now or I'd have called. I really apologize cause we had a great
time. Wish you could've been along.

Hey UCR and Redlands players: (Riverlands...UC-Redlanside)
I got this email from UCLA. They're putting a tourney together and
are looking for teams. I think this would be a great tourney to go
to. (I do think it's an open tournament and not specifically co-ed)
I'm up for it, and would love to put a UCR team together or
depending on the numbers perhaps a combined team like we did with
Redlands this weekend.
Let me know if you all would like to go. We'd need solid numbers for
a two day tourney.
Also thanks to everyone who played this weekend. We had a great time
and played very well against some decent competition. And most of
all we had a great time and Christophe isn't broken.
Cramer
Here's the tourney details:
Dear SoCal (and some norcal) teams,
In fear of some teams not reading RSD, I am sending out emails to
ultimate contacts which I have accumulated over the past year. If
you are no longer the contact for the respective team, please
forward the email and then email me with the proper contact. With
that said, onto the news.
UCLA is hosting its first annual Sandwich Day tournament this year
on November 4th-5th on the UCLA campus.
We plan on having beautiful looking fields, Sandwiches and a BBQ,
and some great fall ultimate competition.
Bids are $225 per team and include amazing sandwiches, trainers on
site, and the beautiful LA smog.
Please email me at rhyde@... if interested. Payment
information will be sent out at a later date. UCLA Smaug hopes to
see you at the tournament.
Fozzy
UCLA Men's Ultimate

P.S. Does anyone have email addresses for Redlands or CSUF? Thanks.
Hey guys,
Austin told me that we are going to the tournament in vegas for sure
now. Can anyone verify this for me? I just want to make sure its
happening before I make plans to come out. Also, there seems to be
some new people at UCR Ultimate, so is there still enough room on the
team for me to go? I hope so. I'm looking forward to playing with
everybody again,
Tim
'm running late. I'm not sure if 8:15 means 8:15 with this crowd, or f
it means 8:30. I'm going to try to make it there asap, but if I don't,
and someone sees this, feel free to give me a holler - 951.880.4705 -
and let me know where I need to go directly.
Thanks!

I hope this goes without saying for the more experienced folks, but to the
newer faces: remember to bring both a light (preferably white) and a dark
(preferably NOT gray) shirt to the scrimmage, as you typically switch
between light and dark shirts depending on the team you're playing.

Last night was a real delight watching Page and Christophe try to synchronize their games to make that rare Stockton--Malone or Pippen--Jordan chemistry. All you veterans are missing a rare treat if you haven't seen these two in action. I just wish I could be there on Saturday to see what happens. I expect to see everyone out to play next week; don't make me call your names. Neil, Christian, Joe, Joey, Ollie(sp), Tracy, etc. etc. Darrell Strait
We do begin at 7pm, but I'm trying to save gas, so I stay in Riverside until after the game, which leaves me with two or three hours with nothing to do except set up the field and stretch before the game. If anyone wants to come out early and practice forehand throws or whatever, I'm usually there by 6:15. Darrell

OK WHAT THE HECK, why didn't anyone say anything about scrimmaging like maybe on Wednesday night when some people could have read it. i know i missed Tuesday but i could have made it tonight IF I WOULD HAVE KNOW ABOUT IT LAST NIGHT.
Well said, Darrell! I am proud to be your fellow geriatric!
It was great to see so many people out on Tuesday. Any of you new folks who are
on the list now - you played great! UCR will have an awesome team as you all
play more.
See you Tuesday... and some of you on Saturday.

A big thank you to all the old and new faces who came to play last night. Two full games with subs proves why Ultimate is the fastest growing sport in the nation.
As our skills increase, Ultimate will become more and more fun and soon we will see why this game is called Ultimate. It was not some arrogant, glassy-eyed fool who came up with the name. The game is the ultimate graceful sport. It requires the ultimate in physical abilities and mental cognition (which is why I'll never be a champion--since I'm physically, mentally, and geriatrically challenged). Championship teams have more Rhodes and Marshall scholars than any other team sport. It is the ultimate game for genuine ladies and gentleman for at least two reasons: 1) the spirit of the game principle and 2) because the game is self-refereed which calls for a certain level of honesty and integrity to remain playing together.
Better stop here; I had no intention of writing an essay; my time's up anyway. Cheers--Darrell

All right, just in case my first friggin message didn't go through.
We're meeting at 8:15AM on Saturday in front of the Rec. Center (By
the tennis courts) Call me at (412) 389-0584 if you're running late or
whatever.
I can drive and fit 3 people comfortably, so we'll probably need at
least two more drivers.
Also, we're like right on the verge of having enough people to not be
COMPLETELY exhausted, so a few subs would still be nice. (Dave)
Awesome, looking forward to the initial UCR Ultimate games, a moment
that I'm sure will go down in sports history.

Tim is in the ATL (Atlanta, Georgia for you non-gangsta type out there).
Anyone coming from the Ventura area that need a ride contact me. See everyone there.

UCR Folks,
I propose leaving around 8:15 so we can get there and drill just a
little bit beforehand. Any suggestions on where to meet? Preferably
we should meet on campus so that people without cars can get there
easily. Any suggestions of somewhere the parking Nazis won't crack
down on us right away?
Right now I'm counting as definitely coming:
Cramer
George
Robin
Christophe
Phavin (Spell check...you know who you are)
Page (Probably spelled hideously wrong again, sorry)
Page's buddy who's name I can't remember
Austin (Where's Tim?)
Kayla
Christianna
Maybes:
Rob
Akiel
Dave
If you are on the list and aren't coming, please email me.
If you aren't on the list and want to play, please email me.
Right now, it would be very beneficial to us to get at least four
more players, so if you know anyone you want to bring along, or
should come, please by all means bring them.
This is going to be competitive, but only sort of. The big key is
going to be getting new players antequated with the game, and having
a good time doing it. (Although fun is Robin's area, George and I
have nothing to do with fun)
Also, Becky if you're still reading....what' s up with Redlands? Do
you have enough for a full team?

As I mentioned last year, I get a lot of emails from studios needing
audiences. There is one for the late late show with CF, paying
$15/person, although it tapes at 4 pm M-F in Hollywood. It might be
fun and an easy way to raise money for tournament costs (ie Lucky 7s).
Let me know if there is any interest.
I know there is an interest in picking up another day of play. I will
go over this week and see if we can add Thurs to the mix. I will also
see if there are any available weekends in Nov for a mini Tourney.
I'll keep you posted.
FYI - remember that flag football has priority over us, so wherever
they set up we will go to the open space. Just a reminder to EVERYONE
to tread lightly when negotiating field space. If there is space
available/enough people, you can set up another field, but I doubt it.
ps Andy - I am actually not sure how the liability issue works, I
don't know if we should allow minors to play on the IM fields. I
think with the old timers they would be their own
liability/responsibility. I'm not trying to be a d#$%, I just have to
look out for keeping a good rep with the school esp since we are a new
group. There is no problem whatsoever playing with us in local
tourneys, or even if we go back to the soccer fields, since they are
partly owned by the city.
Hola Ultimate players of the World! We are up and ready for our 7th
Ultimate Fiesta in Pie de la Cuesta Acapulco COED Hat san and Grass
tournament.
The Tournament will run from January 17th till the 21st , 2007 in
the city of Acapulco. In the past, we have had up to 8 countries in
one of our tournaments and we are looking to break that mark. There
are only 96 spots available. If you are planning your winter
vacations, and have not made up your mind, maybe you should think
about coming down for the Ultimate Fiesta 2007.
The website is http://fiesta2007.discovolador.com yes, no www ļ
Hope to see some of you.
Regards from Mexico,
Fernando

A little heads up will be greatly appreciated. Look forward to the scrimmage.

Simon,
It's Cramer from UCR.....not my alter ego Bob Wanker. Whenever you get information about the scrimmage, such as exactly where it's going to be, what times, and what teams will be there, let me know. We should almost definitely have a team going.
As for UCR people, I have for sure (People who've emailed me):
Me
George
Austin
Kayla
Christianna (Hideously misspelled most likely)
Maybes: (These are off the top of my head so don't beat me if I forgot you)
Robin
Rob
Scott
4 new guys whos names aren't in front of me right now and said they'd play
Christophe
Akiel
And probably at least 2 I've forgotten
I'd figure we're bringing at least 10, which is pretty good for relatively short notice and the fact that UCR started nine months later than every other school in America. Again, for UCR people, if you're definite and haven't emailed me at KCramer@flagler. edu please do so and once I have all the info, I'll relay it to you in terms of where we'll meet and rides and stuff.
Hey Guys. This is Simon from Cal Poly. We want to do a Saturday
scrimmage. Four teams. Each team plays three games. First game
around 9:00 in the morning with hard cap at 90 mins and 15 min
breaks. So far it is Cal Poly, Azusa Pacific, and UCR. I haven't
heard back from Redlands or Fullerton. But if neither of them can
come then I will invite Claremont. Still trying for Oct. 7. Later.
-Simon
Hi Rob, and all!
Do we have a second night to run around now that you UC people have
finally decided to go back to school? Or are we Tuesdays only?
¡Muchísimas Gracias!
Les
PS - Sounds like Friday was a great success. Way to be!

Glad to hear the booth was a success. Thanks to Rob and all who
volunteered. Please let me know of any future events and I'll be glad
to contact my friends in the Frisbee industry for sponsorship.
I would'd definetly like to be a better ultimate player, so any tips
and catch/throw practice is appreciated.
The Discgolf tournament was a super succcess. Rob, thanks for stopping
by the course and I apologize I was not able to be a better host but
as you noticed, it was pretty busy.
Thanks again,
