Former World Player of the Year Ronaldo has said he is deeply flattered by interest from Serie A outfit Palermo.
The 32-year-old striker is currently playing in Brazil with Corinthians and appears to have rediscovered his best form.
Ronaldo has scored eight goals in nine appearances for the Timão, one of which was a delicious lob against Santos at the weekend.
“I am happy at Corinthians, I feel like I did in 2002,” Ronaldo said. “With every goal I lose a kilo and it makes me feel wonderful.
“Today I can say that I am the happiest man in the world in Brazil and I have an objective - I want to score 30 goals in a season.
“At that rate of losing weight per goals scored I will end up wasting away,” the former Inter star joked.
When asked if he would consider taking up Palermo's offer and return to Italy, Ronaldo
replied: “It would be wonderful, wouldn't it?”
Ronaldo was released by Milan last summer after he suffered yet another career threatening knee ligament injury against Livorno in February.
O Fenômeno, as he is known in Brazil, trained and recuperated with Flamengo before abandoning them to join their rivals Corinthians in time for this season.
