NOVEMBER ROLLERSKI NEWSLETTER:

Preparation for the snow is stepping up a gear. Winter's definitely
on its way, and skiing is only a few months away. (Enquiries and
website hits are on the up, which is how we can tell folk are thinking
of skiing!)

Next month we have several courses coming up, and in December we have
our traditional Christmas ski tours and 'Mike Dixon Day' - a
masterclass with Eurosport comentator and biathlon star, Mike Dixon.
Now's a good time to get onto rollerskis again and get a few miles in,
and we hope you can join us.

Alan Eason, one of our most experienced instructors, will be back next
month for our Dorney course and a special Level 2 skating course in
Hyde Park. In fact, we will have a full lineup of instructors on hand
next month and are expecting a good turnout of skiers.

Read on for details of courses coming up, training tips, the finale of
this year's rollerski racing and other news -

NOVEMBER COURSES

DORNEY courses, Sunday 9th and 23rd November - Levels 1 & 2

23rd November - Alan Eason will be back for the Level 2 course on 23rd
November, and already we are expecting to have at least 2 groups of
beginners on this day

9th November - this date has been added because we've had so many
bookings for 23rd November. Again, we will have Level 1
and 2 groups on both days.

We recommend that you book ahead for these sessions:
Full day - http://www.rollerski.co.uk/events3.html

HYDE PARK skating courses - we have a Level 1 course starting Sat 1
November, and a Level 2 course with Alan Eason starting on Sat 15
November. See - http://www.rollerski.co.uk/events2.html

LONDON 4-HR RACE AND WESSEX RACES

Last Saturday saw the last London rollerski race of the year - the
annual London 4-hr event at Hayes. 1,500km was recorded by skiers and
you can read a report at - http://www.rollerski.co.uk/nr063.html

This Sunday, the Wessex Races at Castle Combe race circuit should see
a field of 70-80 skiers take part in the last British Series race of
the year. This race draws a large number of Army skiers, who used to
dominate British rollerski and cross-country ski racing. For more
information see http://www.wessexbiathlon.org

PROFILE EKATERINA

We have added a profile of instructor Ekaterina Rachel to our website
- you can see our full instructor lineup at
http://www.rollerski.co.uk/instructors.html

NEW KV+ POLES

We have sourced a new pole supplier, Swiss company KV+. Although only
10 years old, KV+ has rapidly established itself as a leading supplier
of poles to some of the world's best cross-country skiers, biathletes
and rollerskiers. We originally came across KV+ as a source of high
quality replacement pole tips for Swix poles, and were so impressed we
have taken them on as our main pole supplier.

For more information, see http://www.rollerski.co.uk/nr064.html

ROLLERSKI INSTRUCTOR COURSE

Alan Eason will be running a rollerski instructor course in London on
15th-16th November. If you would like to get onto this course, please
contact Helen Bell of Snowsport England on helenbell115@...

The course is 80 and it is essential that anyone involved in teaching
rollerskiing should be qualified and insured under the Snowsport
England coaching scheme.

SSE KVITAVATN COURSE

Snowsport England has announced details of its on-snow course in
Kvitavatn, Norway next year. This is a great way for skiers to
improve skills, and is always great fun, with some of the best
instructors available in the UK. For more information on the course,
see - http://www.rollerski.co.uk/nr065.html
