Hello,

There's a Christmas holiday feel to rollerskiing in December. The Hyde Park
courses finish this week, but there is still much rollerskiing to be done before
the year's out.

6 times winter Olympian, Mike Dixon, is coming to do a talk and rollerski
masterclass on Saturday 15th December, the London Region Nordic Ski Club has its
famous 'Gluhwein Tour' on Saturday 1st and Eurosport's biathlon coverage begins
this week.

Our last Dorney course of 2007 (with both beginners and intermediate / advanced
groups) is on Sunday 9th, and meanwhile our class sessions in Hyde Park and
Richmond Park continue - suitable for all.


MIKE DIXON DAY - a highlight of our year, 6-times GB winter Olympian and
generally inspirational character, Mike Dixon is coming down from Scotland, for
a rollerski masterclass and talk. Although his rollerski class is now full (it

VASALOPPET VIDEO @ MITRE - Paddy Field, LRNSC Chairman, kindly gave me a DVD of
last year's Vasaloppet (in English!). If anyone would like to see it, I suggest
a Christmas trip to the Mitre pub on Saturday 8th December after training, to be
combined with lunch. The DVD is about an hour long, so no overload...


SKI GANGING

This will continue for the next couple of weeks in Highgate - well done to
Yvonne, Marne, Tim, Catherine, Alan, Helen, Jonathan (almost), Henriette, Laura
and Jessica - for making it up the hill.


GLUHWEIN TOUR OF RP - the London Region Nordic Ski Club's tour of Richmond Park
takes place this Saturday AT 4PM. They have asked for all who are coming to
sign up as members (for insurance reasons) - if you sign up for membership now,
you will be covered for the remainder of 2007 and the whole of 2008. The club
produces a very good newsletter, and runs an excellent series of rollerski races
