Re: [rollerdancing] New To the Skate Scene

Hi Rosie - where are you at? I am in the San Francisco
area. Any sporting goods store will have a selection,
I have always purchased Rollerblade brand skates. You
can start with a beginner pair (slow bearings) until
you are comfortable and then change up to some faster
equipment. Start on flat ground, learn to brake before
trying any hill, even a slight down grade can give you
way more speed than you can handle.

Good luck, let us know how it goes - you are going to
love it and be in great shape for any other sport -
skiing, tennis . . .

Barbara
