I'm riding from my house, 10:00a.m. Friday for about 50 miles (I'm guessing the pace will be from 17 to 20mph).  There will definately be two riding, myself and Tim Lucas.  We might be joined by one or two others; Ken and/or Chris from Wilson.  We'd love to have you, or anyone else, join us.  My address is 2123 N. Old Carriage Road; across from Creekridge Subdivision.

I hesitate to put this in writing as it appears to jinx me.  As of right now, I am planning to ride Thursday at Noon for 1.75 hrs (I have to be home just before 2:00pm, so, I promise, no 2.5 hr 1.75 hr ride!)  Friday I have to get an early start, 9:30, for a 3.25 hr ride.  I have to be home between 12:00 and 1:00.  If anyone is able to ride, I'd love to have company.   Thanks, Kinnie

 I'm going to ride Saturday morning at 8 from the dentist office   Planning to go anywhere from 31 (Elm City) to 38 Browtown Road/Seven Bridges routes.  Love to have company.  I'm going Sunday morning too but not sure exactly what time.  Maybe a little earlier (though if I get some company on the ride I can stay at 8 or 8:30.

Turned out to be just two of us.  We did a hilly and windy 27 mile route, but had a good ride.  Hope you can join us another time.  We're riding tomorrow for 3.25 hrs starting at 9:30 from my house again.  Kinnie

I hesitate to put this in writing as it appears to jinx me.  As of right now, I am planning to ride Thursday at Noon for 1.75 hrs (I have to be home just before 2:00pm, so, I promise, no 2.5 hr 1.75 hr ride!)  Friday I have to get an early start, 9:30, for a 3.25 hr ride.  I have to be home between 12:00 and 1:00.  If anyone is able to ride, I'd love to have company.   Thanks, Kinnie

Turned out to be just two of us.  We did a hilly and windy 27 mile route, but

Leggett & back) this Sunday.  I'm the coordinator for that route in the March 28
ride so I need to refresh my memory of the route. My time Sunday is flexible so
if anyone wants to join me I would appreciate it.

I am sorry, but the Red Cross bike ride scheduled this weekend leaving from the
Dunn Center is postponed until April 25th.  We will still have the same rides
available;  10 mile., 22 mile, and 40 mile at that time.  Please call me to let
me know if you will be able to ride with us then.  I will still need a head
count for food.



Sorry for the inconvenience, but this weekend calls for severe thunderstorms  on
Saturday and 80% chance of rain for Sunday.

I'm riding tomorrow in Red Oak for no more than 1.5 hrs if anyone would like to join me.  I plan on leaving at 11:30 from my home.  I could leave later if need be, or from a different meeting spot.  Kinnie Pruden

Yeah, no, not really fast, just really tired.  :)  I will keep sending out messages.  By the way, I'm supposed to ride 3.5 hrs Friday, if the weather cooperates, if anyone is interested in joining me.  I will have to start in the a.m. as I am going out of town that afternoon.  KP

It sounds like there is a group planning to ride on Saturday morning starting at 7:00 AM from the Belton and Schrimper Dentist office on Winstead Ave/Michael Scott Dr. I think the overall ride is to be around 55 miles out to Castallia/Spring Hope. I KNOW I am not in the condition to do that ride. So, I am looking for company that is in the mix for the 30/35 mile variety. We can all start out together and then split apart along the route. I expect that the route will run through the neighborhood behind the Dentist office, out through Candlewood/Greystone and down Halifax Rd. Then up Hunter Hill to Coley and out through Red Oak. Up Taylor Store Rd to Pullen Pasture to Castalia and then split. Long group goes straight and short group will turn left and come down 58 to Nashville. There are several locations to turn off along the way (Red Oak/Taylor Store Rd by example) for those that may wish to do a ride in the teens or 20's.
 
On the rides we have had recently, average speeds have been 16.5 to 18. I would expect it to be in the 16.5 range for me as this would be my longest ride in 9 months.
 
The weather looks like it should be just about perfect. A low of 45 overnight and a high of 75 and sunshine. I am thinking that the ride should be in temps around 50 to 55.
 
Please RSVP to either the Rocky Mount cyclist yahoo email address or directly to me at azarashiinu@... so we know you are coming and don't leave without you on Saturday AM. If you can state your preferred distance, that can help too.
