I don't see him ever becoming a contender for the major stage races -
he's simply to stocky for that (192cms/80kgs). As for the obvious
comparison to Johan Museeuw, he has himself stated that he doesn't
like that comparison much. His words were something like "I think I am
a different type of rider than Museeuw and I don't like these
comparisons".

Considering that his strengths lie in cobblestone races and mass
sprints (and has the green jersey in the TdF as a major goal), he
reminds me a lot of Erik Zabel

192cms??? thats tall. Wouldnt you agree that that weight is proportional to his height? Eddy Merckx himself was tall and weighed 72kilos and upwards... Big Mig...

Yeah, his weight matches his height well enough... and I agree he has a big engine. But I still doubt he'll be able to make much of an impact in the big...
