I have just joined this group recently so go easy on me you guys .
Good question, can anyone challenge lance.You would have automatically said
ullrich, i think he is the only one who could pose a serious threat,
statistically he has the best team (next to USPS),but they are going to have to
concentrate more on him and not the sprints otherwise its game over.And will all
the second places be stuck in the back of his mind and does he still have the
will to win.Personally i would love to see him stick one right up lance.
As for the others, Tyler Hamilton could upset the apple cart but does he have
the strength in the phonak team. Joseba Beloki, again pretty similar situation
to hamilton i think we haven't seen how deep he can dig yet.Maybe even
vinokourov but ullrich would have to be having a bad time of it.
Possibly even Iban Mayo or Roberto Heras could be in with a shout if they can
look after themselves for the first couple of weeks till the big cols come,and
the alp d huez time trial could blow it all apart.
Lance might have too much sheryl crow on his mind and not enough ullrich(i hope)
but the thought of taking the dream 6 wins and making history will drive him on,
if he is he going to retire he will throw everything at it. Anyway my money is
on the fat german.
Where is everyone from on this site, i am in Stockton on Tees,Cleveland.I have a
Trek 1200 road bike and an old Univega 505 MTB.My cycling is mainly up to 100
odd miles a week commuting and I'm trying to build up a few longer rides on a
weekend,my furthest being 55 miles.
