Hi all
Hopefully, I will be riding my first competitive event at the
weekend (sunday) - that is, if I can keep this chest
infection/cold/sore throat at bay which keeps knocking on my door
every morning when i get up!!

Its a 32 mile hilly TT - Border City Wheelers. (Jonny - it looks
like Jason is down to ride it....)

Im going there with next to no training for the last 5months - does
2 weeks on the bike since mid september sound good? :-p
But my theory is - racing is best form of training. Arghhhhh!!

I did 2 hours on the way home from work on tuesday and i got the
dreaded bonk (knock or whatever else u wanna call it) I crawled home
weak as a kitten

Heres hoping that if I ride on Sunday, I aint lanterne rouge out of
the 51 riders!! A bit embarrassing as it looks like ive been
seeded!!! - off on a 'zero' at number 20 ooopsss - pressure! lol

How is everyone else doing? Are they racing yet? and if so when
where etc? Tell us

cheers

micky

Worst part of the 70 hours is only 1:52 of it actually involved steering the bike. Rode indoors a couple of weeks ago; for first 10 min or so I was not sure...

Very reminiscent of Jan Ullrich :p Anyway, my first event will probably not be until sometime in May. Kinda late, but that's how it goes... have to settle with...

Jorin its understandable that you dont know what a stone is, not many americans do either. 16 ounces in a pound 14 pounds in a stone 2.2 pounds is a kilo 1...

So whats the racing like in Germany? You hear a lot about France, Belgian and Dutch Kermesses etc, but not much about Ullrich's patch. I suppose living there...
