tried the archives on this but no hits.

hope you can share advice on this. my brother will be sending me
his road bike (around 3 years old) from the US to the UK (London).
i have checked with the commercial couriers (i.e. fedex, dhl, etc)
but it is just way too expensive. my course of action now is to
use US Postal Service but i was wondering if there was another
alternative.

anyone with experience on this? any advice would be much
appreciated.
