I have yet to see mine fat, Ang! We do have a lighted round pen, but it's currently a swamp. And I'm not sure about that 1/2 mile walk in the dark. Maybe it would be good for both of us.

Today is my first anniversary as a horse owner- I signed Dancer's

adoption papers a whole year ago!
he's filling out in pasture- we had cookies and lovin' on at lunchtime-
need to call the vet, as he's a little snotty nosed and I don't know
if it's of concern.

We (the farm) lost a mare today. She was older- had a heart attack and
was euthanized this morning :(

Snotty nose could get worse! We have a filly at the barn that has the flu!!!!
Unless your horse has been vaccinated for said influenza, he is at risk of
getting it. We are making jokes all week that the filly has swine flu.... She
was put on quarantine/smz's and is doing very well. Comes off quarantine in 2
more days.. Lyndy

Called the vet, they're sending out a couple of penicillin shots.
so I guess I get to learn how to give shots.

Hi Everyone

A friend of mine just started a great website called Whispering Cowgirl, where
you can purchase really nice stuff for both human and horse. There is even some
sexy clothing "for after the ride"! Check it out at www.whisperingcowgirl.com.
You can link onto the facebook by clicking on the link at the bottom of the

Hi Jill,
Yes I've run them. You can get a 5 generation Pedigree and how many races they ran. I am going to have to order anything else. I was hoping someone on here would recognize my OTTBs.
Thanks,

I have a VERY sweet 12 year old TB gelding named JOE.

Joe has been used for trail riding and has had basic Dressage training. He has
had professional training as well as consistent work with his amateur owner.

Has not jumped, but no reason he couldn't be taught to jump. Joe is a GREAT
trail horse, he recently spent 7 days riding through the Palo Duro Canyon over
some VERY rough trails.

Joe is 100% sound, current on shots/coggins, etc. He rides in a plain snaffle
bit, NO shanks or curb bit and a Dressage, Australian or light Endurance saddle.
NO heavy western saddles please!

Joe is available to a VERY GOOD home at NO CHARGE.

Joe loads, trailers, un-loads easily. He is VERY good in new places, not
getting nervous or worked up. He is not a 'hot' Thoroughbred, although he is
sensitive and very responsive. Good for Intermediate rider on up.

Joe is in Rockwall, TX. Please email for more info. dmarr@...

Joe is around 16 to 16.1hh, he is a dark bay, and is a very handsome horse.
Jockey Club registered.

Joe has been shown in Intro. level Dressage shows. He did VERY well. He would
be a GREAT Pony Clubbers mount!

Beau goes English or Western, does showmanship, and is started in harness. It
takes a crop to get him to trot or canter but he has a lively trot when moving.
He's great over little cross rails and will canter a course with an experienced
rider.

We think Beau would be a great Western gaming pony because he patterns super
well and likes to just stand around, but he does go when you ask him to.

Beau is only 6 so he's still green, and his price reflects that. $1500obo. We
will consider a trial period for the perfect home. Owner must sell.

Photos and video available on his page:

Yep. I am.

I went to my retrain toolbar and answered a post. It was the answer to a question about a TB heritage. I spent all morning finding out the answer was AP Indy. Just discovered that the toolbar goes back to the last post from the toolbar. The answered post was from Sept 98.

Anyway, I guessed correctly. Is the group still doing this?

Loved the breeder's cup from the weekend.

Congrats on the new barn. Will try to keep up.

Hi,

This wouldn't be AP Indy would it? His daddy was Seattle Slew and his
granddaddy on his mom's side was Secretariat. He won breeder's cup
and was horse of the year. Think he was 3 year old too.

Very fragrant, beautiful and long lasting quality. Remember, this fundraiser is to help rescue horses in need. Your efforts won't go unnoticed for the deserving horses in our care.

With Christmas just around the corner...these make excellent gifts for your friends and loved ones...and also for deserving horses needing help. A gift that keeps on giving!

I'd start with Equineline.com pull the full racing history and progeny of the horses.

Hi All,
I am trying to find any info on my 2 OTTBs.
First is Starship Voayager she is a 13 yr old Bay Mare. I know she raced as a 3 yr old filly. She had 6 starts and won once. The vet tells me he believes she was bred at least once. I have owned her since she was 6 yrs old so anything before that is a mystery. I would like to know if she had bred, who was she bred to, how many foals, what was the result, etc. I would also like to find out if she had any professional training and what.

Second is Bold Go he is a 18 yr old Chestnut gelding. He was raced until he was about 8 yrs old and bred until he was about 12 yr old. He had over 100 races. Not sure how he did but, I figure pretty good. I have only had him just over 1 yr. I know he's been doing the Hunter/Jumper shows for the past 4 yrs or so. I would like to know who he was bred to, how many foals, what was the result, etc. I would also like to find out if he had any professional training and what.

I am trying to find out if my two have ever met before me. The connection they have is more of a reconnection than an introduction. You never know :) Thanks for any help.
Regina
