The 2009 version of the ALS Ride is August 29th. There's a metric century, a 1/2 metric century and an "easiest" route to choose from although none of the routes are very easy since the start and finish are in Somersett at the Roundabout shopping area. Check out more info at www.ridetodefeatals.com

This is Reno's only local big organized ride.

We need some more volunteers to make it happen. This is your opportunity to promote bicycling in the Reno Area while helping to support the fight against Lou Gehrig's disease.

Summary:  What we need and Who we need.
4    Hill SAGS for the intermediate ride (this SAG ferrys people up the final hills into Somersett if they are too pooped)
2    Bike SAGS for the intermediate ride (this SAG cycles the route helping people with mechanical or motivation problems)
4    Marshalls - adults or responsible students (these volunteers work the busy intersections)
    12  Folding chairs
1    Easy up or 2/3 garden umbrellas
        Portable bike racks
SAG support items:  bike tubes, pumps, water, 1st aid kits
    10/12    Volunteers for Somersett Village

We need your help. Let me know if you can volunteer or want to make a contibution to the raffle prize pool.

Thanks,
Terry McAfee
