Best entrance is on Sierra St. about a block west of
the university. From 80- virginia street exit north
on sierra street. Drive up the hill, big sign on the
left that says Rancho San rafael. Hey, I'll be happy
if there are enough for box there...

Thanks for taking the initiative. Any specific street directions?
I'm not sure where that is and I imagine some non-Renoans will not
know as well.

I am only 95% or so certain that I'll be playing tomorrow, as I'll
be heading out of town for the rest of the weekend, but if I go,
I'll swing by Reno High to tell stragglers of the plan. But, I'll
need some more concrete info to tell the stragglers. And if someone
more certain than I wants to take this on, I'm happy to concede.

OK, I only have email for another hour, so hopefully this will all
be resolved soon!

You are right, let's be definitive, just got off the
phone with Marie, she said that if we park at the
pagoda pavilion at rancho san rafael there is a large
field on either side of it. 11 am, dogs on leashes,
tell your friends, rally the troops, Hey, it is
somewhere to play.

Hey all,

I'd like to play tomorrow, but I'm not sure where the final decision was made to play.  Can someone send a quick e-mail to tell me where or call.

Great! So, how are we going to make this work? Where do we go at
Rancho San Rafael? How do we let the non-emailers know where to
be? It's pretty hard to inform everyone on Friday afternoon, so
let's put out a very specific email now, and then for the rest, I'll
meet folks at Reno, and maybe someone else can meet folks at Gomm,
since people have been talking about that place for a few weeks now.

Roy gomm was too small to facilitate a game of 7's,
Yesterday, my wife, the ranger at Rancho San Rafael
park said that there would likely be plenty of space
there. Dogs need leashes, but they gots lots of grass
there.

IF YOU guys want me to reserve the intramural fields I would be more than happy
to, we might not be able to play every weekend as there are rugby and lacrosse
games. The reason I haven't reserved the field is a lot of people didn't want
to play on astroturf and also dogs are prohibited. we would not need to deal
with the insurance stuff though.

Hmm, those all sound like good suggestions, but I think we need to
put a clear plan in order for tomorrow and spread the word about it
before it's too late to communicate effectively. How about that Roy
Gomm school on Mayberry since we're fairly sure it will work out?
I'll offer to swing by Reno High to pick up stragglers and maybe
even put up a sign. If anyone else wants to make sure, it may be
helpful to stop by there too.

Hope to see folks at the school on Mayberry, just west of McCarren
at 11:00. Anyone who has a better plan, let us know ASAP!

Jen had a good suggestion last night...Is there any reason why we
cannot use the intramural fields on Saturday? Or are we likely to get
kicked off for similar reasons?

Hi all,
As for this Sat.... We have in the past played at Roy Gomm, the school Liz was
referring to. It's on Mayberry west of the intersection of Mayberry &
McCarran. How about 11am at Roy Gomm?

I hear that Rancho San Rafeal has a field in the park
proper that we could use, but Bill would know more
about it then me. I do know that the Park Ranger said
we could play there.

Idlewilde has been full of football players lately. Unless anyone
can put forth a better alternative, maybe we should spread the word
about the elementary school as the new official back-up. (Sorry I
can't remember the name).

Okay, here's the real deal, just got off the phone
with Rich Carter from Reno High school. Told him that
we have been playing there for years without any
problems. He understood and didn't seem to have a
problem with it. So all we have to do is 2 simple
things. First, check the reno high schedule for boys
soccer (or field use). We can do that at
www.highschoolsports.net

If the fields are being used then we can't use them.
He said that we could use the main football field as
well if it wasn't being used and the regular fields
are busy.

The other thing that we have to do is, if someone gets
hurt and is such an (insert appropriate profanity
here) that they decide to attempt to sue the school,
is monkey stomp thier candy ass for trying to ruin it
for everyone.

Now, this weekend both fields are in use, so the real
question is where do we want to play on saturday.

Bill,
Sounds as if we need to make ourselves official with
the UPA. They offer blanket liability coverage for
all events and probably some good advice. You can get
in touch with them at 800-UPA-GETH. They should, at
the very least, be able to give some ideas.

Hola,

As many of you may already be aware, for the past few
weeks the representatives from reno high school have
been asking us not to play on their fields without a
field use permit. I have the facility use permit in
my hand, and the gentleman has said that he would be
willing to waive any fees, but, and here is the
unfortunate part, "Applicants are required to attach a

So all you ladies know the question. What do our #s look like? I think I won't
be able to make it as I have a ton of tests those weeks (ofuck and lucky 7s)
and i'm already commited to lucky 7s, but we'll see what ends up happening.
I'll ask the girls who i play with up here. Clare said we could stay in her
house! Shoot me a reply if you are interested, if you want you can just reply
to me instead of burdening the whole group with excessive emails.
(daniellj@...). or give me a call 775-287-2636. sweet! -danielle

also there may be word of a chico tourney, i'll let you guys know as soon as I
know. We're not sure if it's just college or club too...

Hey Lilith, it was infact me in davis, I watched a little of your
games, but never got a chance to say hi. I was down there watching my
roomate play with schwa and they had some super intence games and a
small sideline....so I was helping out there most of the time.
Anyways, I am playing for University of oregon, not tonic....but I do
know missy, she is super cool. CJ may be helping out in coaching our
team this year if all works out well, which would be awesome!!
I unfortunately will not make it to lucky 7s, things are just too busy
and I am just too poor, But you ladies should definatley put a team
together for the oregon tourney. tonic should play and I think some
oregon ulumni are putting together a team so it should be sweet! I
will send the bid info your way soon. anyways, sorry I missed ya this
weekend!
hope all is well!
peace,
Clare

Hey Danielle! I was wondering if you still wanted to put a team
together for OFudge (they made us change the name...) anyways it is
that tournament we host up here in Eugene. It should be the weekend
of Nov 19 and 20. If you are still interested in sending a womens
team (it doesnt have to only be college players, we have a couple
other "club" teams that will be playing) send me your email. There is
also a mens division, so if you all want to send a mens team too, that
would be sweet. anyways, send me your email address, and I will have
my roomate send you the bid info.
peace,
Clare
