PAINTBALL IN THE POCONOS

Saturday, November 29, 2008

Skirmish USA, Rt. 93, Jim Thorpe, PA 1-800-754-7647
www.skirmish.com

Paintball is an advanced form of "Capture the Flag". Each player has a
marker, which fires paintballs. When you are "marked" by a paintball, you
are out for the rest of that game. Usually, about 8 games are played
during a day. This is an all-day, outdoor event. Does it hurt? When
properly dressed, it hurts no more than being hit by a tennis ball or ping
pong ball.

This event is limited to the first 40 people to sign up. People from
churches in NJ and PA are also being invited. Feel free to invite your
friends and loved-ones!

Bring a change of clothing, bag lunch and drinks, if desired.
A clean rag or two is usually helpful, as well as knee pads and a knit hat.

Hamburgers, hotdogs, chips and soda are available at the on-site snack bar.
Bathrooms and changing areas are also available.
Extra paintballs (beyond 1st 50 for free): 150 for $10

Check-in Time: 9:20 am at Skirmish USA snack bar area
Play time: approx. 10:30 - 4:30 pm outside
Departure Time: approx. 6:30 pm
Pizza (optional): 7 pm

Carpooling available. Drive is 2 hrs. from the George Washington Bridge.

Friday or Saturday overnight accommodations are available near Skirmish
USA. (717-722-0481 & 717-443-0391)

Old and warm clothing, including brown, cloth work gloves (avail. at site),
are recommended. Long underwear and turtleneck shirts are also
recommended. Unless you plan to rent an official camoflage suit there
($7), wear washable outer clothing that would blend-into the natural wooded
area (dark green or brown is usually best) and warm boots, if possible.
Layering is good.

Registration Fee Schedule: (If space is still available.)

$30 if postmarked by Monday 11/3
$35 if postmarked by Monday 11/10
$40 if postmarked by Monday 11/17

This fee covers everything you need for the day except: an optional camo
outfit ($7), food ($15?), and paintballs ($15 to $40 depending on how
"trigger happy" you are).

Send your registration fee to: Peter K. Schutz, 11 Pleasant Rd., High
Bridge, NJ 08829
Make it payable to: Peter K. Schutz

Registration fees are non-refundable, but are transferable.
